Phil

Posted by Softdrive Records

Hello,
Phil here wondering why any of you would have any interest in anything I have to say. Insecure much? Well I'm moving up in the world of Softdrive trying to fill Arik's shoes the best I can. I feel however, that's a task no man is up for. He truly is one of a kind. Every now and then I come across a stray beard hair and I get a little choked up. You don't know what you've got until it's gone and leaves behind a ton of beard hairs. So things have changed around here. We've got some great new interns that are adding some fresh ingredients to the concoction that is Softdrive. But something that hasn't changed is my fear of change and my everlasting awkwardness. Now I'm trying really hard to think of a way to wrap this thing up without being awkward. But I can't.

Meet The Interns Part 2

Posted by Softdrive Records

Greetings and salutations to all! I am Maxwell Tuszynski, and you shall ALWAYS refer to me as that! No, just kidding, it's a mouth full. So interning with Softdrive so far has been great and we're working on a lot of great ideas for the summer and even after the blistering heat of California ends too! These next couple months should be a blast and I'm really looking forward to some more The Color Turning Shows within the Los Angeles area. Hopefully at a 18 and older venue for you younger fans, like myself:). And hey don't forget about the Something to Burn show cause I hope to see you ALL there, and when i say ALL, i mean everyone, even your bass slappin grandmammy!
haha, no but really all these shows are going to be amazing, so come check them out.
What's better then a FREE TCT show in Silverlake when you got a case of the mondays?!
that's right nothing, so no exceptions!

until I post again,
Maxwell (:

Doug

Hey it's Doug. I'm technically not an intern but I've been granted permission by Carley to post here. We have a grip of new interns. You are all welcome to harangue them as much as possible.

I'm working on the Scott Weiland Christmas Record. I'll be hot an heavy on that for the next 2 months. It's going to be really special.

So a little bad news or rather sad news. Arik Garcia has left the Softdrive Label family. After 4 years of loyal service he has decided to move on to different pastures. We love Arik and it's really a bummer for us to lose him. It's all amicable, no bad blood or drama. Just a young man growing up and moving on. Change is an inevitable part of life. Sometimes good sometimes bad. Arik was a fresh faced beardless teen when he started here 4 years ago. Now he's a man, or man like. He's seen a lot working here, some of it weird, some of it awesome, and I hope he can use some of it in the future. We wish him well. We were going to do a webisode about his leaving but then we choked. I guess we didn't want to make light of it. Phil has officially been promoted to Arik's job so please welcome him and congratulate him when you can. And also don't forget to keep harassing Arik on Facebook as much as possible.

Cheers

DG

Meet the Interns Part I

Posted by Softdrive Records

Hello Softdrive Nation,

Let me first introduce myself, my name is Harris Letter and I am one of the new interns for the summer. Music in all senses of the term has been a passion of mine since birth. I am now lucky that I am getting my foot in the door of the industry this summer with Softdrive Records. Just a short update on the happenings, Harry is still the boss of the studio, while The Color Turning and Something to Burn are both killing it this summer with shows booked in Colorado, South Dakota, and Iowa. Make sure to check out The Color Turning on July 26th at the Silverlake Lounge in Los Angeles, as well as Something to Burn on August 5th at the Roxy.

Until Next Time

-Harris

The Brand New Softdrive Blog...

Posted by Softdrive Records

Hi friends!

I hope your summer is finding you happy and healthy... and in some serious air conditioning.

So, the team here at Softdrive is trying out a new means of reaching out to the fans: A BLOG.

On this blog you'll get behind-the-scenes updates and love notes from each of us, even from our fresh batch of interns! It's also an opportunity for you to reply to our updates with your feedback, so please do.

But don't worry, this doesn't mean the webisodes are done, we're just regrouping.

Anywho, I hope you'll check in often and keep supporting the Softdrive dream!

"xoxo"
Carley
